Willamette Valley Medical Center Speech Therapy Services - Welcomes New Provider
June 12, 2025

Willamette Valley Medical Center (WVMC) is excited to welcome Audrey Dawson, M.S., CCC-SLP, MBA, as a full-time speech therapist. With more than 11 years of experience in skilled nursing facilities and as an on-call provider, Dawson brings valuable expertise to WVMC’s speech therapy program, which serves both inpatients and outpatients.
Dawson earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University. Her passion for the field was sparked by a personal experience: witnessing a family member regain lost abilities through speech therapy. This transformative moment inspired her to shift her academic focus from forensic chemistry to speech pathology, a decision she is grateful for. "This is a wonderful career, and being in McMinnville is a dream come true," Dawson shared.
WVMC remains committed to offering personalized care plans that address speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, post-concussion syndrome, autism, developmental disorders, head and neck cancer, and more. Connie Rolfe, WVMC’s Director of Therapy Services, expressed enthusiasm about Dawson’s arrival, stating, "Having Audrey full-time in our therapy department completes our team. We are delighted she has chosen our hospital and community."
A physician referral is required for speech therapy services. To determine if you would be a good candidate for speech therapy or would like to request a referral, follow up with your primary care provider.
